Jake Paul Isn’t a Bad Boxer – He Has Surprising Advantages Against Mike Tyson
When you consider how long Jake Paul has been training, he shouldn’t be dismissed as a bad boxer. Even though Mike Tyson, at 58 years old, can still hit the bag well, he’s shown he’s not the same fighter he once was, especially when he went against Roy Jones Jr. All it would take is one solid punch from the much younger and stronger Jake Paul to connect and it could be lights out for Tyson.

In his prime, Tyson was undoubtedly one of the greatest heavyweights of all time. But that prime is long gone, and he’s starting to look like he’s got trouble beating stairs these days. A good deal of Tyson’s fame also came from his reaction to his meta, and it took a while for opponents to figure him out. Once they did, he started losing more often.
That meta is no longer relevant, and Paul is coming in from a much lighter weight class. This means he won’t fight like the heavyweights Tyson is used to – and the same could be said for Paul. However, there’s a plethora of videos out there from pros talking about how to counter Tyson’s style, while there’s a lot less focusing on Paul. Live Stream Tyson vs Paul for free.
Any way you look at it, Paul has all the advantages before you even consider the age difference. But everyone wants to watch that “asshole” get his teeth knocked in. As the bout looms, Netflix has produced a documentary around the controversial contest, which the streaming platform will air live next week.
“When I received the news that he was out and not able to fight, I was just numb,” Paul said in the documentary. Neither Tyson nor fight promoters have publicly revealed what Tyson’s payday will be for this fight, and there has been no official announcement about a purse or contract signed by Paul or Tyson. Boxing industry experts have estimated Tyson could make somewhere in the range of $20 million at various times since the event was announced last March.
